Cynthia Devasia
Cynthia Devasia received her JD in June of 2002 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she successfully pursued a concentration in general litigation. At Cardozo, Cynthia served as Editor-in Chief of the Online Journal of Conflict Resolution, Assistant Editor of the Cardozo Studies in Law and Literature and as a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant. She honed her legal skills while working as an intern for the Honorable Whitman K. Knapp of the Southern District of New York. Cynthia’s interest in labor law was first piqued during her tenure as Summer Associate at Koehler & Isaacs in 2001.
During law school, Cynthia worked to develop her negotiation and conflict resolution skills through Cardozo’s nationally ranked Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution. She served as a member of the distinguished Mediation Clinic, was the 2001 Winner of the American Bar Association’s Team Advocacy in Mediation Regional Competition, and was a founding member and Co-Chairperson of the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Chapter at Cardozo. She has been recognized for her academic and extracurricular achievements through several scholarships and awards including the Monroe E. Price Alumni Scholarship, C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship and Stephen Eric Tannenbaum Leadership Award.
