Mark L. Koren


Mark Koren graduated from Touro College School of Law in 1984, second in his class. Prior to joining Koehler & Isaacs LLP, Mr. Koren worked for Joseph Gaier, PC for eighteen years, specializing in Real Estate and representing investors in the purchase, sale, and financing of properties throughout the United States, with most of the emphasis in New York. Mr. Koren represented sponsors in the conversion of apartment buildings to cooperative ownership and has also represented clients in the purchase, sale, and financing of residential properties.

Mr. Koren has been involved in real estate related litigation concerning mortgage tax and New York City Water Board charges (in the NYS Appellate Division), the Cooperative and Condominium Abuse Relief Act (in the US 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals) and has argued cases before the New York State Tax Commission, involving real property transfer gains tax.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Koren was a New York State licensed real estate broker selling homes in Queens, and in New Jersey, where he was the exclusive broker for the sale of custom built homes.

Mr. Koren's overall legal and business real estate experience enables him to guide our clients through all aspects of the real estate transactions so that they are better able to understand the complexities.
