Luis A. Serrano



Luis A. Serrano was born in Newark, New Jersey. After serving in the United States Navy for six years, as an electronic technician, second class, Mr. Serrano graduated from the University of Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance.

Upon his graduation, Mr. Serrano attended Rutgers Law School, where he was an active member of the Association of Latino American Law Students (ALALS). While at Rutgers, Mr. Serrano also interned with Essex County Superior Court Justice Donald Goldman.

After graduating from Rutgers Law School, Mr. Serrano was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney for Bronx County, where he spent several years handling myriad misdemeanor and assault cases, before joining the Grand Jury Bureau, where he handled felony level cases and prepared witnesses for Grand Jury proceedings. Mr. Serrano then joined the Narcotics Bureau, where he worked on felony and narcotics related cases.

After serving as a Bronx Assistant District Attorney for five years, Mr. Serrano joined the Criminal and Disciplinary practice of Koehler & Isaacs LLP, where he represents union members in numerous criminal and disciplinary matters.
