Koehler & Isaacs Receive Prestigious Award in Governador Valadares, Brazil
On February 13, 2008, Richard J. Koehler, and Steven Isaacs were honored by the municipal government of Valadares, Brazil, for their fifteen years of outstanding services provided to hundreds of Brazilian immigrants living in the United States. At a reception at the Municipal Chamber of Valaderas, Paulinho Costa, City Council President and President of the Association of Relatives and Friends of Immigrants from Brazil (ASPAEMIG) presented Mr. Koehler and Mr. Isaacs with an appreciation award for their law firm’s continued support and dedication on behalf of the Brazilian community. Mayor Jose Bonifacio Mourão personally attended the ceremony and extended his congratulations. The event was featured on the front page of Valadares’ leading newspaper, Diario Do Rio Doce.
During their trip to Governador Valadares, Mr. Koehler and Mr. Isaacs were warmly received by a delegation consisting of numerous mayors and local officials from across Mineiros, various business leaders, members of the local bar association, and many members of the community, whose relatives have been assisted by Koehler & Isaacs LLP. “It has been an honor for the law firm to work with the Brazilian community for these many years and it was a pleasure to meet so many friends in their home city,” said Richard Koehler.
